We Are a Muslim-Friendly Travel Publication
Though Battuta Magazine covers destinations across the globe, we proudly position ourselves as a Muslim-friendly travel publication, especially with our strong focus on halal travel and Middle Eastern coverage. As part of our mission, we try our best to highlight only halal-friendly and Sharia-compliant experiences to help Muslim travelers explore the world more easily, safely, and confidently. Our Halal Travel and Muslim Travel sections feature curated content on halal food, Muslim-friendly stays, modest experiences, and faith-conscious itineraries.
As part of this policy, we do not cover anything related to alcohol, music, nightlife, or similar topics not permissible in Islam, to maintain our deep commitment to Muslim-friendly content while still supporting travelers of all backgrounds. Not all destinations we feature may be fully Muslim-friendly, but our aim is to provide helpful, ethical, and culturally aware travel guidance. Whether you’re a Muslim traveler or not, our goal is to share thoughtful stories, honest tips, and purpose-driven travel content for everyone.
At Battuta Magazine, we see travel as a path to learning more about the goodness of Islamic cultures and history, as well as exploring the creations of Allah, guided by Islamic law. Our core values are to inspire and inform passionate Muslim travelers around the globe about meaningful travel taken with purpose, whether to please Allah (through worship), to explore His creation, to learn, or to fulfill something important and impactful. With this mission in mind, we publish about Muslim travel, everything from a Muslim traveling with purpose to travel guidelines for Muslim travelers. We cover Hajj and Umrah, Muslim history and heritage, historical landmarks, Muslim cities, travel tips, and everything in between.
Note: There might be some content about destinations that may not be positioned as completely halal-friendly, given the rise of tourism that promotes many impermissible things in Islam, but we try our best to highlight in those destinations the things that are halal, useful, and beneficial for readers in some way. However, we do not take any responsibility for places being mixed with impermissible things, and we ask our readers to check more sources to verify any information.
